I only buy new balance shoes I have many foot problems, and these are great shoes. For some reason they made the tongue really short so it keeps falling into the shoe making it impossible to put on, which would have been fine but they also made it pointed like forked tongue of a snake that stabs you while you try to put your shoes on. I don't like the roll bar, make the outside of my foot hurt.

The Bidwell also comes up slightly higher on the leg, which makes it more difficult to slip on/off. I don't know about the rest of you, but my middle toe doesn't stick out farther than the rest - so it makes no sense to me that that's pretty much how ALL men's shoes are...
